How I get to my final Image
So first I would like to say a little bit about my photography and how I end up with my final image. I prefer to do as much work in the field while shooting the images as possible and the least amount of post processing possible. I have never used the HDR technique I achieve my results by using a combination of ND grad filters regular ND's and a polarizer. I do sometimes have odd colours for example in the sky in my images but this is due to the slight to extreme in some cases, colour cast inherent in all Neutral Density Filters. I try to correct this later in Photoshop to achieve a more realistic colour. The only post processing that I do is Curves and Colour Temperature and sometimes correct for Chromatic aberration in Camera RAW. Then in Photoshop I will clean up scensor dust, maybe dodge and burn, possibly crop the image and finally use Unsharp Mask. I never use colour saturation at all, the colours I get are from shooting at the right time of day. I also do not use any filters in Photoshop.

Thanks for sharing your technique about your photos too. I have never used filters to do colour work, only black and white, and I've never had the opportunity to use ND's. I don't want to sound stupid but how exactly do you mean you use a combination of them?

The Pixel is my Pallet...?
When I said I use a combination of them I meant I sometimes use more than one at once.

Originality is the fine art of remembering what you see, yet managing to forget where you've seen it.
Have some fun
