The rough texture of the rocky base of the island along with the softness of the mist rising from the smooth surface of the water and caressing the trees makes for not only a lovely contrast, but a gorgeous coupling. As well do the bold, rich colours of the flora along the top of the photo mingling with the mellow, pale colours of the water across the bottom. I especially like the strong line of the fallen tree, which sets this photo apart from most waterscapes, and adds a slight feeling of subject to the photo. The reflection on the lake brings it all together: the magick colouring the trees and the rawness of the earth, alongside the peace and ancient power swirling within it and this photo.
Great capture.

I liked a lot this shot, especially the mood and the reflection. The trunk reflection touching the edge of the frame leads my eye up to the trunk and from there to the rock and from there on to the rest of the frame.
I like a lot the colors, with the addition of the mist it ads to the autumn feeling, the narrow view angle of the landscape is nice in this shot, since it allows my mind to travel to different places without needing to figure out where exactly is this located.
Sharpening is nice and the shot well exposed.

That is magical indeed.
Perhaps I would have liked to see a bit more of the trunk's reflection but maybe that is just me :D
Must have been a great morning.
